Kanchaiym's story

Kanchaiym is 54 years old, she is married and is raising five children together with her husband. Kanchaiym has specialized secondary education. She works as a teacher in the village school. As an additional source of income Kanchaiym does animal husbandry which she started eighteen years ago with the purchase of livestock for 4,000 som (KGS). Because of her hard work Kanchaiym now has one milk cow, one calf and eight sheep. Her monthly income is 8,500 som. With the goal to further grow her business Kanchaiym has come to the Microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan in the amount of 50,000 KGS to buy sheep to increase the headcount of livestock. She plans to invest the income from the loan into further increase of her livestock.
