A loan of $375 helped to buy organic manure.

Constantina's story

Constantina, 59, is an unassuming woman who has been with her husband for 40 years living in the house they bought 30 years ago. They formed a family together and their years of effort and dedication helped her obtain many goals and efforts. So much so, that they now peacefully await the planting season for they own their own farmland that they share with their children. “They work in agriculture, too,” she affirms.

Now, she’s preparing the farmland because the rainy season is about to begin and it must be taken advantage of. She intends to plant corn and other vegetables and also forage and natural grasses for her animals.

She belongs to the “Pampa Blanca” communal bank and this is loan #3 with Kiva. She feels happy because she’s been working with her association for many years and the members are humane people who above all want to help each other out. Constantina will use the 1,000 soles to buy organic manure to nourish her corn crop.
