A loan of $1,700 helped to buy a motorcycle to do home deliveries.

Nola Josefina's story

Nola, 37, is mother of two children. She and her husband are in a common law relationship. She’s spent her entire productive life working as an independent merchant. She started out with a pharmacy in the town of her birth in La Guajira Department but five years ago moved to the city seeking better school opportunities for her children.

She had to sell her business and used the money she got to buy a deli located near the house she lives in now. She works every day from 6:30am until 10pm to take advantage of her sales because the business is very well-located and has a long history in the sector so it’s already well-known in the community. Thanks to this, it produces good income for family support.

She’s a hardworking, driven, active and perseverant woman. She’s asking for the loan in order to buy a motorcycle to make home deliveries in a more efficient and timely way. This will save her much productive time which in other words means more profits for her business. She will be able to attract more customers thus earning more income for her family.

Nola dreams with strengthening and accrediting the business so that it will generate economic stability that will help her save to buy a house of her own in the city where she lives and thus offer better well-being and quality of life for her family.
