A loan of $1,425 helped purchase agricultural supplies and clean out weeds in her coffee crops.

Norma Enedina's story

Norma at 52 years old is a woman with many strengths, and many hopes and dreams that little by little she has been able to realize throughout her life's trajectory. She is 52 years old, married and the mother of 5 children, 3 of whom live with them and are involved in the various activities on the plantation that help improve and protect the coffee crops such as: weeding, applying manure, fertilizing, applying insecticides, etc... She has dedicated herself to this work for 25 years, and she learned it from her parents at a very early age, which is why she decided to dedicate herself to working the land when she married her husband since he was a farmer as well. This is the only means of income and economic growth for her family and household. The land they work is their, and is a 15 minute walk from their home. They make the walk everyday to tend to their land.

Her dreams are to someday be a strong coffee buyer and at the same time a producer, generating revenues to improve her household finances, strengthening the patrimony for her children and supporting them in all of their goals. This is why she is seeking a loan with which she will purchase urea, fertilizers, manure, insecticides, etc... and be able to clean her coffee crops of pests and weeds.
