A loan of $400 helped to buy fertilizers to apply to corn crop.

Alfredo's story

Alfredo is 42 years old. He is a farmer, and he is unmarried and lives with his mother. He did not go to school because his parents did not have the resources to send him to school.

He currently is working as a farmer, growing corn and beans. He has been doing this work since he was 12 years old. He learned it from his father and was inspired to follow in his father’s footsteps. At the moment he has 7,000 square meters of corn and 8 tareas (a bit more than an acre) of beans, which will generate income to cover his family’s expenses.

The customer will invest the loan in buying fertilizers to apply to his corn crop. The fertilizer will improve the crop’s growth and development and increase its yield. That way, the client will be able to have a healthy crop that gives him good earnings.

His dream is to keep his parents’ house in good condition so his family can live comfortably, and to keep working the lands growing staple grains, which is his source of income to support his family and improve their economic conditions.

The loan will help him have a good crop and increase his yield so he can have higher earnings in the future. He will invest his profits in improving his home.
