Janna

A loan of $3,000 helped to renovate her barn, buy cows and pay for forage.

Janna's story

Zhanna is a young agronomist from the village of Nor Kyurin in the Ararat region. She lives with her parents and husband. The family is engaged in breeding cows and hens, and this is their only source of income. Their barn is in very poor condition and makes it difficult for them to work effectively. Also, things are getting more expensive day by day, and they need to enlarge their agribusiness to be able to cover their expenses. That is why Zhanna needs a loan of $3,000 to renovate her barn, buy more cows and pay for forage for her livestock. This is her’s first loan, and it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative of Kiva and SEF which provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit before, because they have no credit history. Zhanna and her family will be very thankful to their lenders for their good will in helping them to maintain and develop their agribusiness.
