Ann Maa Bilasuni Self Help Group's story

Basanti is a 44-year-old lady. She is living in Odisha with her parents, husband and her children. Her husband is a farmer. For the past two years, Basanti has been selling flower plants and cultivating vegetables in her village. Her husband assists her in this activity. Basanti is a very responsible and ambitious woman. She is the leader of the group, Ann Maa Bilasuni Self Help Group (SHG). There are 10 members in the group and all are women. The members of the group are involved in different kinds of activities like agriculture, selling milk, and operating grocery shops. She, along with her group, has requested a loan of 300,000 INR. She will use her portion to purchase small flower plants, seeds and fertilizers. Basanti has a dream of providing a better standard of living for her family.
