A loan of $2,700 helped to buy insulation materials.

Magsarjav's story

Mr. Magsarjav, 22 years old, lives with his parents and sister in Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia. The family resides in a Mongolian traditional ger (portable felt dwelling) on a plot of land. He has been selling spare parts of trucks to local people since 2009. He is requesting a loan of 4,500,000 tugriks to buy insulation materials, such as fiberglass, foam and felts, in order to insulate his home. As a result, his family will be able to live in a comfortable and warm place without worrying about the oncoming winter. Also, they will begin to burn less coal for heating due to the insulation and so release less pollutants into the atmosphere.
