Kirile's story

Kirile is a 44-year-old married man. He lives with his wife and three children in a small village of Ozurgeti district. Kirile is unemployed now, and his wife works as a housekeeper and gets 150 GEL (Georgian Lari) per month.

Kirile is involved in agricultural activities. He has a plot of agricultural land and grows maize and nut trees. He is a very hardworking man and always has high-quality products, which are sold to local retailers.

Kirile decided to start an additional business and requested a loan. The Start-Up program, which is a joint initiative of Kiva and Credo, enables him to get a loan of 1,000 GEL to purchase a cow. After purchasing a cow, they will start producing dairy products to sell. This will increase their income.
