A loan of $550 helped to buy spare parts for his cargo transport vehicle, like tires, bolts, and other items.

Ananias's story

Ananias is forty-eight years old and is married to Jazmín. Jazmín works and is also the mother of his three children, ages 15, 8, and 4. They all live together in a house that they own. Ananias makes a living offering a cargo rental service within the city. For this work, he has a heavy transport vehicle that he acquired with the support of his wife. Sometimes they hire a responsible person to drive it, and they pay him for each day worked. Ananias began this work more than five years ago, buying the vehicle with mutual savings with his wife, who also drives the vehicle in her free time. He decided to begin his business because he wanted to have his own income and to be able to support his wife with the home expenses, feeling that in doing this, they would be able to advance themselves more rapidly.

Seeing the results of his business, he hopes to continue and to grow the number of vehicles he has. This is his first loan with Kiva, and he feels grateful for the financial support that he receives in order to continue moving forward. He promises to pay his installments on time.

With the amount he has requested (1500 soles), he will invest in the purchase of spare parts for his vehicle, like tires and other parts. He will be able to maintain the vehicle and to search for the best prices for the parts.
