Francisco Antonio
Francisco, 40 years old, only studied until the first grade. He did not continue because it was too difficult for his parents to send him. He is in a relationship, and his partner makes a living through domestic work. They have four children, and three of them live in their house, of which two are studying in the seventh and ninth grades in the community school.

All of his life, he had dedicated himself fully to agriculture. He learned to work the land since he watched his father do so and began to sow small parcels. With time, he dared to sow more and more. Sometimes, he does bricklaying work in the area, which generates some profits. To get to his land where he sows corn, he walks about 15 minutes, sometimes accompanied by his oldest son.

The loan that he is requesting is to buy compost and pesticide, since he sows 10,500 square meters of corn. Furthermore, he has a small parcel of land for banana and plantain crops, and he needs to purchase fertilizers.

He hopes to generate profits that allow him to cover the basic necessities in the home and continue paying for his children’s studies. In the future, they want to increase the land for the plantains to generate extra income from the sale of the crop’s leaves.
