Ketevan's story

Ketevan is a 38-year-old married woman. She lives with her husband and five children in a small village of Martvili district. Her husband is a physical worker and gets 300 Gel per month.

Ketevan is actively involved in agricultural activities. She has a pig and sells piglets. She also has land where maize and nut trees are grown. She is a very hardworking woman and always has high-quality products which are sold to local retailers.

Ketevan decided to start a dairy business and requested a loan. The Start-Up program, which is a joint initiative with Kiva and Credo, gives her a chance to get a loan of 1,800 Gel and purchase a cow. She will start producing dairy products to sell.

The Start-Up program enables her to generate more income and improve the living conditions for her five children.
