Battulga's story

Mr.Battulga is 35 years old and lives with his wife and two sons in a ger, the traditional nomadic tent, in the Uvs province of Mongolia. He and his wife Enhtuya started their family business, a butcher shop, in a rental counter of a local market in 2002. They purchase livestock from herders in countryside and sell fresh meat to local customers. He is now requesting MNT 1,500,000 to buy cattle to butcher and sell at retail price to clients. His two sons are soon to be enrolling at the local school, and Battulga needs to increase the family's income to prepare their children for school.
