A loan of $1,100 helped purchase tools like machete, saws and to hire workers.

Ever's story

Ever is 21 years old, married and has a one year old son. His family all lives in their own home. When he finished secondary school, he got married and had his first child and has had a lot of responsibility ever since. He has also not had steady employment and so his parents gave him a piece of land to grow organic cacao. This work has provided him with his first income that helps him care for his family. He is very dedicated to his work because it is a skill he has been learning since he was a child, thanks to his parents. However, in order to get a better quality fruit he needs to use organic fertilizer. One of his primary objectives is to be able to build a home with durable materials. This is his fourth loan with Kiva and he is thankful for all the financial support that he has received. With this loan he is going to use the money to purchase tools like machetes, saws and to hire workers to help him care for his cacao fields.
