Unificada Ii Group's story

The A.C. “UNIFICADA II” will start their first phase with Pro Mujer at the Senkata Focal Center. It is made up of eight members and is governed by a board of directors and Felicidad is the President.

There are several different businesses among the community association members. Some of the businesses are: neighborhood store, blanket maker, selling plastic objects, butcher, popcorn vendor, valet and grocery store.

The loan will help the small business owner members such as Felicidad. She joined Pro Mujer a year ago. She joined through the invite of a friend who was a member of the institution.

Currently she owns a neighborhood store. She tells that her and her husband started the business when they noticed the needs of their neighbors.

They started the business to generate new income.

The loan will be used to increase capital (buy oil, sugar, beans and rice) that they will buy at traditional fairs, wholesale and then sell it in their store.

This type of work allows her to create an income to help support her family since she is married and has seven children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the loan and the health area.

In this group: Felicidad, Jeannete, Luisa, Maria, Constantina, Aidee Escolastica , Giovanny, Antonia
