Gbenonkpo Group's story

The GBENONKPO group is composed of four persons living in the same neighborhood. This is the sixth time the group is asking for financial support from ALIDE, in order to increase their level of commercial activity. The representative of the group, Pierrette, can be seen with her hand raised in the photo. Pierrette is 50 years old and married to an farmer name Hounsoutonou. The couple have four children, all of whom attend school. Pierrette lives with her husband and their children. Sales stemming from her activity allows her to help her husband in supporting the diverse needs of their family. For the past five years, Pierrette has been selling condiments and staple food supplies (corn, palm oil, etc) in her region. She stocks up on materials in Benin. In order to better satisfy for customers and to increase her sales and profits, Pierrette is asking, along with the other members of the GBENONKPO group, for a loan from ALIDE. All previously received loans were successfully reimbursed.
