A loan of $1,275 helped a member to purchase beans and yams.

Sena 1 Group's story

The Sena 1 group is made up of three people who live in the same neighborhood. The representative of this group, named Antoinette Pélagie, is the one pictured with her hand raised. This is the fifth time this group is requesting financial assistance from ALIDé in order to raise the level of their business.

Antoinette Pélagie is 35 years old and a widow. She is the mother of 4 children, all of whom attend school and are in her care. In order to provide for her children, she sells fried yams and bean pastries from her home. She stocks up in Benin. In order to grow her business and to better respond to the demands of her customers, Antoinette Pélagie hopes to obtain this fifth financing, together with the other members of the Sena 1 group. Their previous loans have all been fully repaid.
