Kwekwe has operated a charcoal selling business for the past four years. Her potential clients are neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of transportation in her business.
With the KES 50,000 she wants to purchase sacks of charcoal for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access financial support to improve her business.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
