Ife Sowakpo Group's story

The IFE SOWAKPO group is composed of three persons living in the same village, and belonging to the same savings group. The representative of the group, Justin, can be seen in the photo with his hand raised. Justin never attended school, but learned how to sew. He is 32 years old and married to Baïra. They have three children, some of whom attend school. The couple lives with their children and, together, take care of the various family needs. Justin has been involved in sewing for about 15 years. In parallel, he also sells sewing materials and SIM cards for mobile phones. He stocks up on materials in a big city in Benin. In order to better satisfy his customer requests and in order to increase his sales, Justin is asking for his fourth loan from ALIDE. The previous loans were all successfully reimbursed.
