Nancy's story

Here is Nancy from Liberia. She is 37 years old and lives in Logan Town, one of the early communities in Liberia that is well-known. Nancy is a widow and has three children between the ages of 3 and 20. Only two of her children are presently in school and live at home. Nancy is a second grade dropout.

For the past 10 years, Nancy has been running a table where she sells washing and bath soaps. She started this business with a little money she saved and learned this ways of selling from her friends. She likes her business because she makes a lot of profits and it keeps her busy. She is requesting a loan to buy more washing and bath soaps for her business. Her plan is to build a house.
