A loan of $1,475 helped a member to purchase superior piglets.

Tunas Mekar Asih Group's story

Noted as one of the oldest groups that received venture capital loans from MUK, particularly for a pig program, this spurs enthusiasm and hard work of all members of the Tunas Mekar Asih group to improve the outcomes of these efforts and they want to be independent, in terms of venture capital. Because the price of pork is quite high, this time the loans focus on buying superior piglets for fattening. Ni Ketut will use the loan to buy superior quality piglets. She sold her sow because the sow is old and she will use the money to buy nutritious feed. She hopes that at the end of six months of raising pigs, the ideal weight is reached, the price of pork remains high, and she gets a lot of profit. Ni Ketut plans to keep all income earned and will use it as working capital.
