Mab's Group's story

Mab, 41, lives with her husband and three children in a village of Battambang province’s Moung Russey district, Cambodia. Out of her children, she has one child who is still in school.

To make a living, she and her husband have been farming rice for almost ten years. The current business earns her family about KHR 20,000 per day.

Mab has been with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund Cambodia, for five loan cycles and she completely paid back the loans. With the loans from VisionFund Cambodia, she has managed to improve her livelihood.

She is leading her group to ask for a loan. As the leader, Mab is going to use her portion to buy pesticides and fertilizer for her farmland. With this loan, she hopes to increase her family’s income, so as to make a better living.
