Clesi's story

Clesi, 54, has been a widow for several years; she has five children she raised and schooled until they became people who are assets to society. Now, she lives in her own house alongside one of her daughters. Clesi’s work consists in selling various snacks like cookies, candy, cereal, lollipops, gum, chocolates and others. She gets her products every two days buying them in commercial centers in the city and then reselling them at retail in her stand located at home. She complements these sales with assorted soft-drinks, bottled water, bottled juice and other beverages. She’s been in business 7 years; she started it when her husband died because she needed to earn income to cover her and her family’s expenses. On this occasion she’ll ask for 2,000 soles. She’s very happy to know that she has financial support because she’ll feel more sure about making business progress. She also commits once more to make her installment payments punctually. She will use the amount requested to buy assorted snacks like candy, cookies, gum, chocolates, soft-drinks and other products she offers her customers.
