Maricel is the featured borrower of the Marites Angel Group. She got together with the other group members to acquire a loan from Kiva partner Al Majmoua, because they have always been friends since they came from the Philippines to work in Lebanon for their living.
Maricel is a 37-year-old married mother of four children, who left her hometown and came to work as a housekeeper to provide her children with a better living and education. Maricel supports her husband a lot. She applied for the loan which will be sent to her family back in the Philippines to cover their needs especially their school expenses.
She is in the center of the picture wearing the light blue top. As for the other group members, Daisy Joy is the first from the left, Alma the second from the left wearing black, Marites is wearing the white top and Corpuz is the first on the right.
