Oijamal's story

Oijamal is 43 years old, married, and together with her husband is raising three children. Oijamal has a high school education. As a main source of income for her family, Oijamal is engaged in raising livestock, having started 20 years ago with the purchase of cattle for 7,000 som KGS.

Thanks to her hard work, Oijamal today has on her homestead: 1 dairy cow with calf and also has a 1.32-hectare land share, on which she grows each year cotton and peanuts for sale. Monthly income is 10,000 som (KGS).

With the aim of further developing her homestead, Oijamal turned to the microfinance bank Bai-Tushum and Partners for a loan of 50,000 som (KGS) to purchase livestock feed (hay, beet pulp, barley, bran) for the autumn-winter period.

Oijamal plans to invest income from the loan to further increase the count of domestic animals and plans to save money to put on a wedding celebration for her eldest daughter.
