Ghulam Rasool's story

Ghulam Rasool is a 43-year-old married man living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. He is a responsible father and son; his parents like him a lot due to his caring. Currently, Ghulam Rasool owns a dairy farm in his town since 1998. He gets milk from buffaloes twice a day, which is very hard work for a single person. He is growing old and does not have enough energy to perform his tasks as he used to in his young age. Few days ago, one of his cattle was stolen due to lack of security. There is no proper shelter for his cattle, which needs to be improved. He wants to buy a buffalo and buildup the shelter but he has insufficient savings, so he requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner’s BRAC Pakistan so that he can overcome these deficiencies and carry on his business smoothly. From the profit amount, Ghulam Rasool will ensure the security of his cattle by building up a shelter for them so that he can avoid theft in the future. He wants to appoint an assistant to help him in his daily tasks. Ghulam Rasool is very thankful to Kiva and its field partner BRAC Pakistan.
