The BENDIYA group is composed exclusively of married women, who average 39 years of age with three children. All live in traditional extended families in the village of Madoudiarrabougou, in the Koulikoro Region (second administrative region of the Republic of Mali).

They met through kinship, neighborhood ties and friendship. They sell peanuts, condiments, cassava, clothing, fish, cereals, etc.. The BENDIYA group of women are on their second group loan, which will be used to buy their goods.

Member Doussou, the person sitting in the middle, intends to buy a bale of used clothing from providers in Bamako, and then resell them to customers in the village and the surrounding area.

She plans to make an average monthly profit of 32,000 CFA francs which will be used for the needs of the family, and some of which will be reinvested in the tuber retail business.

Le groupe BENDIYA est composé exclusivement de femmes mariées, qui ont en moyenne 39 ans, 3 enfants et vivent toutes dans des familles traditionnelles élargies dans le village de Madoudiarrabougou, Région de Koulikoro (deuxième région administrative de la république du Mali).
Elles se sont connues à travers des liens de parenté, de voisinage et d’amitié. Elles font le commerce d’arachide, des condiments, du manioc, de l’habillement, du poisson, des céréales, etc.
Les femmes du groupe BENDIYA sont à leur deuxième prêt solidaire qui sera utilisé pour acheter leurs marchandises.
La cliente Doussou, la personne au milieu dans le rang des assises, compte acheter une balle de friperie avec les fournisseurs de Bamako, pour ensuite revendre aux clients du village et environnants.
Elle envisage réaliser un bénéfice moyen mensuel de 32 000FCFA qui sera utilisé pour ses besoins de la famille et une partie est réinvestie dans l’activité de commerce de tubercule.

Soro Yiriwaso is a microfinance institution that works primarily in rural and semi-urban areas of Mali to provide underprivileged communities with access to financial services.The organization facilitates access for disadvantaged clients, particularly women, to new resources and services, fostering solidarity and cooperation among its clients. Kiva lenders’ funds will enable Soro Yiriwaso to expand its outreach and target even more underserved Malians involved in business and agriculture.
