A loan of $775 helped to buy supplies at wholesale (fabrics, thread, buttons, accessories, and elastic).

Flor Alba's story

Flor, at 44 years old, is married and the mother of two children. Because of the lack of job opportunities, she decided to start her own business to generate resources that would allow her to contribute to her household finances. So, eight years ago, she set up a sewing workshop in a space within the house she lives in. There, she offers services to procurers, and she also created her own line of underwear and activewear. With this business, she has been able to help her husband with household expenses. This client is an active, enterprising woman who strives tirelessly to achieve the goals she sets for herself, overcoming various obstacles and the economic difficulties associated with the fact that it is hard to collect payment from her customers; sometimes, she doesn't have the working capital to invest in the purchase of supplies. However, she has figured out how to keep going, always motivated by her family. Currently, Flor is requesting this loan to invest in the purchase of supplies at wholesale (fabrics, thread, buttons, accessories, and elastic) with which she will have the raw materials available to fulfill all her customer orders and deliver them in a timely fashion. This will give her the opportunity to get more contracts, thereby increasing her production, her sales, and the income she receives for the service she provides. Flor dreams of strengthening, fortifying, and consolidating her business, and of being recognized in the industry for her good work and dedication; this would give her the opportunity to improve her family's living conditions and wellbeing.
