A loan of $400 helped to buy agricultural supplies.

Levy William's story

Levy, 36, was only able to complete 6th grade. He’s married and his wife works in agriculture. They have four children (17, 14, 10 and 9 years of age). Two of them attend school.

Levy has been a day laborer his entire life and has been working in agriculture for himself for 8 years. He learned from a friend who owned corn fields and told him that he’d help him plant, fertilize, remove husks and fold. This is how he gained knowledge and decided to start working for himself. His wife and children help him and they reach their fields on horseback because they are located about 3 kilometers from home. They work from 6:30 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon.

The loan will be used to buy fertilizer and herbicide and to pay for a tractor to produce 7,000 square meters of corn.

What he most wants is to improve and be successful. He will attain this with loans granted that will not only help him but also all the members of his family. All of this will serve to improve the quality of life of all these people and that will make him happy.
