A loan of $1,875 helped a member to buy soft drinks, sugar, lard, eggs, wood, corn, coffee, rice, milk, cookies etc. for her business.

G.s El Chorro Group's story

Luz is a young, honest and responsible person who lives with her mother and her two children in the municipality of Choluteca in the south of Honduras. She runs a small store. Luz needs the loan to buy soft drinks, sugar, lard, eggs, wood, corn, coffee, rice, milk, cookies etc. With this loan she hopes to increase her sales thanks to being better stocked. This is the season of national festivals.

Luz, the same as the other members of the group, would like this investment to improve her economic situation and taking out a loan reflects this desire. In a few years time she hopes her store will be stocked like a mini-supermarket and be well known in her area. Her dream is to be able to continue to support her children. She hopes they will grow up to be good citizens.

Norys has had a small store in the same community for the last two years. Dilenia has bought and sold chickens for the past six years. Dilma has also sold chickens for 6 years. Juana María has bought and sold chickens for 3 years.
