A loan of $1,000 helped to buy fertilizers and manure, and to pay for labor to prepare the land for planting yucca.

Jose De La Cruz's story

Jose is 43 years old, married, and lives with his wife and seven children in a village of Santa Cruz de Yojoa. For the past five years, Jose has been growing yucca on a plot of land that he rents. He sells what he grows in the local market.

Jose is requesting this loan for 20,000 HNL to buy fertilizers and manure, and to pay for labor to prepare the land for planting yucca. He says that the loan will help him to maintain the crop well, so that he has a better harvest. Jose says that his goal is to buy his own land for his crops.
