A loan of $1,325 helped a member to sell breakfast.

Awa's Group's story

This group is composed of two women who has been neighbors and friends for a long time. They are part of the 'banc villageois' in existence since July 9, 2011.

Ms. Awa, the group's representative, is a married woman, 34 years old, and the mother of five children, three boys and two girls. She has a small business selling breakfasts at her home. She has good experience in this domain of work. In the photo, she is the one standing at the left and wearing a multi-colored dress.

Her loan will be used to purchase 40 liters of oil, a sack of flour, a sack of sugar, and 10 trays of eggs in hopes of more income.

With her profits, she has been able to tile her bedroom and her living room.

In this group: Awa, Fatou Bintou
