A loan of $3,450 helped a member to buy more pork to resell.

Asernal Group's story

Ritha, who is a married woman with two daughters, is in her early 30s. Her children are still in school. Ritha is a businesswoman running two projects: selling fried pork and managing a fruit and vegetable business. She has been in these activities for seven years now. She starts working at 06:30 am until 9 pm daily and is able to make good monthly returns.

This is Ritha's third loan from Kiva partner Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more pork which she sold to more people. She has paid back all her previous loans successfully. Ritha's business profit is used to cover school fees for her daughters. She also used it to buy more bricks for her house construction. She will use this loan to buy more pork to resell. Ritha is doing great in her businesses. She dreams that one day she will be able to finish building her house.

Ritha will share this loan with her loan group "Asernal" which consist of 14 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
