A loan of $250 helped to buy more oil and spare parts.

Sylvia's story

Sylvia, a married mother of four children, all of whom go to school, has one additional family member, her father. She resides in her own house, and the family has access to electricity but not to piped water. Her monthly expenses include school fees and food for the family.

Sylvia sells spare parts for both motor vehicles and motorcycles in a shop that she rents. In business for two years, she works seven days a week. Her major business challenges include transportation, thieves and insufficient capital.

Sylvia has requested a loan of Uganda shillings 600,000 from MCDT-SACCO to buy oils and spare parts. She aspires to educate her children to the university level.
