A loan of $1,800 helped to purchase fiberglass, foam and hardwood floor to renovate her dwelling in preparation for the upcoming winter.

Yanjmaa's story

Mrs. Yanjmaa, 44 years old, lives with her husband and two children in Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia. The family resides in a Mongolian traditional ger (portable felt dwelling) on a plot of land. She has been teaching music to students in high school since 2009. Her husband works as a sentry at school.
Their two children go to high school.

Mrs. Yanjmaa is requesting a loan of 3,000,000 MNT to purchase fiberglass, foam and hardwood floors. Using those materials, she wants to make renovations to her ger in preparation for the upcoming winter. As a result, the ger will stop losing its heat through its walls and floor, and her family will burn less coal for heating, thus releasing less pollutants into the atmosphere.

The borrower is a very hardworking individual who strives for a better future.
