A loan of $1,450 helped to buy an ox yoke.

Lorenzo's story

Lorenzo is 48 years old, studied until the second grade of basic education, and has a partner. He is the father of five children, only one of which lives with them. Two work and one is studying. One of his granddaughters lives with them so only three are dependent upon him. He began to work in agriculture when he was 14 years old. His father is the one who encouraged him to become a farmer, since it was he who taught him so that he could make a living. The place where he works is an hour away on foot, and his children help him and he includes them so that in the future, they too can get ahead. With the loan for which he is applying, he would like to buy an ox yoke in order to be able to bring the harvest home, since the place where he harvests is fairly bad and he wants to buy a large ox yoke to be able to harvest the crops from the 14,000 square meters of land where he has planted corn, sorghum and beans. Lorenzo's dream is to teach his children to work so that they will be able to fend for themselves in the future and bring home food and be happy and at peace with God.
