Zubaida's story

Zubaida is a 47-year-old married woman and a mother of seven children. She has been successfully running a small general store with her husband (who is also shown in the photo) at the corner of her house. Her husband assists her by purchasing stock of goods from the market and dealing with customers by sitting at the shop. Over time, they have become popular in their community for providing good quality products, and they make enough to meet the expenses of their children.

Currently, she requested a loan of 30,000 PKR (Pakistani rupees) to buy packs of salts, biscuits and grains to meet with the increasing demand at her store. Zubaida is expecting boost in her earnings and dreams of expanding her business in the future.
