Memunatu is the featured leader of this group of entrepreneurs. Memunatu was born in Makeni city in northern Sierra Leone 42 years ago. She is married to a businessman, and the couple has three children who are attending primary and secondary school.

For 10 years now, Memunatu has been selling soft drinks, ginger, plastic water bottles, etc. This is the first loan that Memunatu and her group members have applied for from SMT/Kiva lenders. With the help of this loan, they will be able to expand their respective businesses, make more sales and consequently improve upon their living conditions. Memunatu will use her share of the loan (500,000 SLL) to expand her business. She will buy crates of drinks, bundles of plastic water bottles, dozens of ginger, etc. to resell.
