Zareena's story

Zareena is the age of 40 and living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is the mother of 6 children: three of them go to school, one of them is doing a job in a firm, and two of them are helping their father to look after their restaurant activity.

Her husband has been running a restaurant successfully for many years and handling the financial conditions of his house. This restaurant has been maintaining her whole family for many years. She has been investing the amount of previous loans in the current business and has been establishing the restaurant well. She is an old member of BRAC Pakistan and now she is in her 7th loan cycle. Her payment schedule and behavior is so good.

This time Zareena is taking a larger loan than earlier for the establishment of a restaurant. In fact, the restaurant needs whitewash, a little bit of maintenance, saucepans for cooking and crockery as well. Zareena is hopeful after taking this loan because it would become the cause to get more profit and savings as well.

Zareena says thanks to Kiva and to its field partner BRAC Pakistan.
