A loan of $800 helped to buy consumer household products, cosmetics, clothing, and other items to sell.

Pedro Jose's story

Pedro Jose is an older gentleman who is married and has two young children. He is originally from one of the towns in the northern part of Department of Chinandega, which is in the western section of the country. Pedro is the owner of a small grocery store where he offers consumer household products such as rice, oil, eggs, candy, sugar, detergents, shampoo, creams, toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, and other items.

He buys his inventory from distribution trucks that come to his district. Pedro purchases his inventory with cash and then sells the products for cash and credit. He collects payments either weekly or every two weeks. One of his dreams is to keep his business well-stocked so that his children can study and become professionals.

The purpose of this loan is to buy consumer household products as well as cosmetics, clothing, and other items. This will allow him to offer a variety of products to his customers. Demand always grows more whenever the dates of the patron saint festivals draw near.
