Mashhura Z. is 32 years old and married. She makes a living in Penjikent as a small entrepreneur who sells women’s shawls, tights, brassieres and other items from a stall in the central market. She began this business because her husband's salary was not high enough to meet all of their needs. Mashhura has run her business for six years and has done quite well, surviving some initial challenges, then growing, and now providing excellent service and innovative products. She has come to Kiva for a loan of $1,025 to re-stock her merchandise. This will help her generate additional income with new goods and increased sales. Mashhura is counting on your help, and would like to thank everybody who chooses to support her. She promises to repay the loan in 12 months.
