A loan of $2,550 helped to purchase 12 sheep in order to sell more meat in autumn.

Sariyya's story

Sariyya is a 47-year-old married mother of 3 kids. For the past 18 years she has been raising sheep because mutton is in high demand in this region. Sariyya's monthly income from this business is 150 AZN. This is a very profitable business and she is doing it together with her husband.
Sariyya is keeping a flock of sheep in her own yard. She fattens them and takes their meat to the central bazaar, where butchers and customers purchase from her. People use mutton for traditional dishes like kababs, dolmas, pilovs, etc.
She has taken a loan from Aqroinvest before and has a good loan history. This is going to be her third loan. This time she requires 2000 AZN to purchase 12 sheep in order to sell more meat in autumn. She is optimistic about this loan, because in autumn more people consume meat, due to the holidays and increased customers in restaurants.
