A loan of $1,425 helped to buy agricultural supplies for her coffee plants.

Elda Merari's story

Elda Merari is a young woman, age 22. She is mother to two children, and completed her elementary school education. Along with her partner, she works in agriculture, in sowing and raising coffee when she isn’t at her job as a teacher. She farms with her partner, but it was her parents that taught her that activity from a very young age. It has been a source of income for her parents, and today it continues to be so for her, her children, and her spouse. As far as the plants go, they are the only ones involved in each of the different jobs, such as the cleaning, pruning, fertilization, watering, and feeding each one of the plants located about 500 meters from the house where they live.

Elda Merari is asking for help to buy supplies to give assistance and maintenance to her coffee crops because this will make her field more secure, that is, healthier, and she can make a good profit at the end of the season.

Her dream as a mother is to provide her children the best financial, moral, and cultural support so that they can develop with discipline and education. This is so that they can become someone in life who can face well all the difficulties that can present themselves in their lives.
