Iyubake Group's story

Pétrone is part of the group Iyubake and lives in Gitega. She is 42 years old and married to Anaclet, a farmer. Together they have seven children, from 6 to 20 years old. Six of the children are students.

Pétrone has been doing commerce in cassava flour and cornmeal for three years.

She is on her 12th loan at Turame. With the KIVA loan she is obtaining, she is going to increase her capital and purchase a large amount of dried cassava to process into flour, so as to earn more from her sales.
