A loan of $5,200 helped a member to buy battery-charging equipment (charger and six cables).

Rafikimwema Group's story

Liliane is a member of the Rafikimwema group and she lives in Bujumbura. She is 35 years old and married to Célestin, who works as a hairdresser. Liliane and Célestin have four children between the ages of 4 and 14. All their children are in school.

Liliane has been providing battery recharge services for three years.

This is her fifth loan with Turame. With this loan, financed by Kiva, she will increase her capital and buy machine load and six tablets on which the machine and the batteries will be placed. This will make her work easier and, in turn, will allow her to earn more.

In the coming years, she would like to have her own workspace and continue to see her children go to school.
