A loan of $850 helped to buy merchandise in order to stock her bazaar.

Norma Elizabeth's story

Norma is a very friendly and participatory member of the communal bank called Mujeres con Decisión. She likes the communal bank as they are all fighting women, responsible, and have the same objective of improving their quality of life. She lives in the city of Cuenca, cradle of great artists, athletes and artisans, bathed by four rivers. Its historic center keeps its colonial beauty and its people still keep their ancestral culture, traditions, and cuisine.

Norma is 38 years old. She is married and through her marriage has 2 children of 18 and 10 years of age. Her oldest son is beginning university and her youngest son is in a little school in the city. Her husband works as a public employee. They own their home.

Norma is an enterprising woman who is studying for a nutrition and dietetics career and is close to completion, but to contribute to the household finances she has had a bazaar. The money from her loan will be invested to buy merchandise for her bazaar so she can stock her business. Her goal is to finish completing her studies.
