The communal bank "ESPERANZA PARA EL FUTURO" is comprised of ten members who work in different retail activities. Rosalina, 36, is a single mother of three children. She has been running a small store from her home for two and a half years which has allowed her to be both father and mother to her three youngsters. Years ago she used to help her mother sell groceries, sodas, vegetables, meat and cheese.

In her free time she sells beauty products. Her loan will be used to buy rice, sugar, oil and beverages. Her greatest goal is to expand her store and improve her family's quality of life.

El grupo “ESPERANZA PARA EL FUTURO” está conformada por 10 socios quienes vienen dedicandose a diversas actividades del comercio minorista. Rosalina tiene 36 años de edad es soltera con 3 hijos educando. Rosalina implemento una pequeña bodega en su vivienda hace dos años y medio. Es de esta manera que ha podido ser madre y padre para sus tres hijos. Años atrás apoyaba a su mama en la venta de abarrotes, gaseosas, verduras, carne, queso. En sus tiempos libres vende productos de belleza. El préstamo lo invertirá en la compra de arroz, azúcar, aceite y bebidas. Su mayor deseo es ampliar su bodega y mejorar la calidad de vida de sus hijos. El grupo agradece a los inversionistas KIVA por el préstamo. Rosalina es la segunda persona parada del lado izquierdo viste chompa negra y polo rosado.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
