A loan of $3,000 helped to pay for three cows.

Anjela's story

Angela lives in Meghri, Syuniq Region, with her husband and daughter. She is a very hard-working woman and is currently self-employed, taking care of her family by cattle breeding and gardening. She owns a plot of land and cultivates apricots, peaches, cherries, figs and blood oranges. To meet her family's basic needs Angela now wants to expand her livestock of cows. For this reason she asks for the lenders support in collecting a loan of USD 3,000 to buy three more cows. As this is Angela's first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative of Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who haven't had access to credit products before, because they have no credit history. Angela will purchase new cows with the loan and it will help her to take care of her family.
