A loan of $1,000 helped to buy agricultural supplies to tend her coffee crops.

Natalia's story

Natalia is a young woman of 24 years, the mother of 3 children, a farmer and homemaker, a working mother with a desire to improve and get ahead. She and her live-in partner make their living planting and growing coffee and vegetables, which they sell in the area to neighbors, friends, and people who go to the area looking for a quality product to resell. Natalia has 3 years of primary education; since she lacked financial support from her parents, she was unable to continue. Later on she met the man who is now her partner.
She learned how to work the land from her parents; they are farmers by tradition, this being the only means of income for their family. One of her biggest challenges is to be able to increase her crops to make more profits to benefit her family, since her greatest wish and desire is to make it possible for her children to study at the level of higher education and become knowledgeable people, opening doors and facing economic problems in a positive way.
It is because of this that she and her partner work hard every day to accomplish their goals and objectives. One of these objectives is the loan that she has requested from the COMIXMUL cooperative to buy 800 lbs of 12-24-12 fertilizer, 1000 lbs of 18-46-00 fertilizer, 10 kg of evicet, and 10 kg of nutrí café. She will use the rest of the loan to prepare the land and sow new seeds.
