Elizabeth's story

This is Elizabeth from Liberia. She is 32 years old and lives in West Point, one of the most populated and well known markets in Montserrado County. She has been managing her business for the past ten years to make ends meet. She sells at her business for seven hours each day of the week. She has six children between the ages of 10 and 21; she said only four are currently attending school, and they all live at home.

She explains that sometimes buying goes slow, but most of the time she realizes a profit, and she uses it to sustain her family.

Elizabeth is requesting a loan to purchase more oil, pepper, Vita (juice drink), etc. for her business. She wishes in the future to build a decent house. She appreciates the support of BRAC Liberia.
